Rare square piano
made by Thomas Preston in London made ca. 1795 in unrestored condition.
The case is made in mahogany with multicoloured inlays.
The nameboard is signed with:
"Patent
Thomas Preston
Londini Fecit
No. 97 Strand"
The Keyboard is original, some tuning pins are missing, some cracks
in the soundboard, wrestplank and bridge are in good condition, single
dampers (some are missing), original green "dust-cover",
double action, original pedal controlling the dampers.
The Instrument rests on its original trestle stand made in mahogany
with inlays
