Early square piano
by Thomas Tomkison in London made ca. 1795 in unrestored condition
(partly playable). The case is made in mahogany with multicoloured
inlays.
The nameboard is signed with:
"Thomas Tomkison
Grand and Square Piano-Forte Manufacturer
Dean Street Soho London"
The Keyboard is made
in ivory and original as well as the tuning pins, one small crack
in the soundboard, wrestplank and bridge are in very good condition,
single dampers, "dust-cover", single action, one pedal controlling
the dampers.
The Instrument rests on it's original trestle stand made in mahogany
with inlays.
The pedal was not assembled for taking the photos.
