John Broadwood and Sons, London ca. 1815 - 1820

Square piano made by John Broadwood and Sons in London around 1815 - 1820 in unrestored condition.
The case is made in mahogany with inlays and rosewood / brass inlay stringing. Brass inlay at the nameboard.

The nameboard is signed with:
"John Broadwood and Sons
Makers to his Majesty & the Princeses
Great Pulteney Street. Golden Square
London"


The Keyboard is made in ivory (5 ivory pieces are new), mostly of the hammer-coverings are original (leather), pedal is missing, original tuning pins, 2 small cracks in the soundboard, wrestplank and bridge are in very good condition, single dampers. Serial number: 22656 (inked) on the wrestplank and under the dust-cover, handwritten signed on the dust-cover and the 58 th. key with "S (?) L(?)oville".
The Instrument stands on 6 turned legs with brass roles (one is missing) and bronze applications at the top.
