Forte Piano John Broadwood and Sons, London ca. 1825 - 1830
This early fortepiano was made by John Broadwood and Sons in London around
1825 - 1830. The case is made in rosewood with wooden applications, typical
Broadwood "duck-feet-pedals" (dampers and una corda), original tuning pins,
straight strung, soundboard in excellent condition, small crack in
wrestplank. This fortepiano has the serial number 1185. The instrument is
also handwritten signed on the first key and the action.
The lyra was not assembled for taking the photos.
