John Broadwood and Sons, London ca. 1830 - 1840
This grand
fortepiano was made by John Broadwood and Sons in London approx. between
1830 - 1840 and is in full original and playable condition. The case
is made in rosewood with wooden applications, typical Broadwood "duck-feet-pedals"
(dampers and una corda), original tuning pins, soundboard, wrestplank
and bridge are in excellent condition. The instrument is handwritten
signed on the first key and the action.
This elegant fortepiano sounds very strong and dark.
The lyra was not assembled for taking the photos, but it exists.
