Nannette Streicher, Wien 1823


Very rare and hard to find grand fortepiano made by Nannette Streicher, Vienna.
This instrument was build in 1823 and is in good unrestored condition. Serialnumber: 1651 The case is made in mahogany and has still the harpsichord shape. The keyboard coverings are made from bone, viennese action, straight strung, treble strung, modern tuning pins. The wrestplank and bridge are in good condition, original soundboard. The instrument is labeled over the keyboard in a brass frame with:

"Nannette Streicher ne้ Stein/
a Vienne".


The instrument rests on 3 Empire style legs with a richly decorated lyra (5 Pedals). This is a very rare and fine example of a viennese grand fortepiano from one of the finest piano makers.
