Alois Illich, Vienna ca. 1830/35

Rare grand Fortepiano made by Alois Illich around 1830/35 in Vienna in original condition.
The case is made in walnut/burl wood (? – case was painted black at some time, no veneer at the back), harpsichord shape and original keyboard. The compass is 6 octaves + Quint, CC - g4, 2 pedals, viennese action, hammers are covered with the original leather in very good condition (some hammers are broken). This fortepiano has no metal bars in the inside, no metal frame! Original music-stand, tuning pins and strings. The bridge and soundboard are in good condition.

The nameboard is decorated with brass inlays and reads the following inscription:
"„Alois. Illich/
in Wien“".


Two pedals controlling dampers and due corde. The lyra was not assembled for taking the photos.

This unique instrument is in original unrestored condition!
